Owners
and Fleet Drivers may begin their orientation on either Monday or Wednesday.
You must call the Recruiting Department to schedule an available date.
All new owners will receive hotel accommodations compliments of FTI. Lunches
will be provided, and you will receive $0.25 for each mile traveled to
orientation.
Orientation at FTI enables you to ask questions, meet your individual
driver manager, become familiar with the paperwork requirements, and tour
our facility. To ensure that you receive the best training available,
please review the following checklist. Ensure all documents are clear
and legible.
All documents should be faxed prior to orientation.

Proof
of Ownership
- Legible
copy of Title, both front and back with Owners name, or if purchased
within the last 60 days: Notarized copy of the Bill of
Sale, including Vin#, Model#, Amount of Sale, Signatures from Buyer
and Seller, and Date of Purchase.
- Copy of Lease Agreement
(if applicable).
Certificate
of Insurance for the following:
- Physical
Damage (Optional)
- Bobtail
Coverage (which must show Bill Thompson Transport Inc. as certificate
holder) or if purchasing insurance through FTI: stated value of truck,
and loss payee information ( name and address of financial institution
to be named on certificate).
Copy
of Cab Card
- 48
state apportionment.
- Additional
freight options are available if you apportion for Ontario and Quebec.
- Apportionment
card must arrive prior to orientation, or if plate and insurance are
being provided by FTI: Paid current 2290 with legible VIN and IRS stamp.
DBA or Corporation Documents if Applicable (with EIN)
